(long live z0tl):

"though attachment, aversion, dullness, pride, and envy may arise, fully understand their inner energy; recognize them in the very first moment, before karma has been accumulated.

in the second moment look nakedly at this state and relax in its present. then whichever of the five passions [lust, anger, stupidity, arrogance, and jealousy] arise becomes a pure presence, freed in its own place, without being eliminated.

it emerges as the pristine awareness that is pure, pleasurable, and not conditioned by thought."

Wow!

Do you remember the Friday Night Fights when we were kids? Kinda like that, except the ring is our mind and all the fights are battles with our self...

I miss AD. And the word verification included the initials for Weest Virginia -- WV! Now what does that say?

Yeah... well... we shall see, shan't we?
I'm not sure what it says. If it did, maybe something would be happening.

Hope this email finds you well. It’s been a while since we last emailed or communicated on a deeper level and I just wanted to say hello and catch up with you. As you know, there for a while we were members of an unofficial social scene including several others who seemed to be writing within one vein on the blogosphere.

It seemed most everything we let flow through us and later chose to write upon was easily sensed and felt almost effortlessly by the others in our circle. I miss what we had there for a moment in time but realize this is the way it is… and that it is all good! I still do stop by and read your blog wondering what’s going on in your world and wishing you well.

Trevor Harden (The Sound of Diesel Musing), Jon Zuch (The Wild Things of God), Zach Young (Manakhos) and I are still developing the website RockOm.net and having the adventure of a lifetime. The site is being warmly received by many and Trevor and I have recently returned from San Francisco where we attended the Seva 30th Anniversary Benefit Concert for a feature story at RockOm. We also met and interviewed Indian tabla master Zakir Hussain, Afro-beat drummer Gabriel Harris (who’s mom is Joan Baez) and New Age music founder and prolific composer Stephen Halpern. We’ve many more exciting things planned for RockOm coming up very soon.

We would really like to extend an invitation to you to join us, partner with us at RockOm. We would like to ask you if you might consider submitting a 2-4 paragraph blog post occasionally for the RockOm front page. We can’t offer compensation presently but we know your offering would enrich our site in a unique way and spread that special something we once shared together at our blogs to a much larger circle. The criteria for a blog post requires only two elements: a sense of passion on your subject and a connection between music and that which is larger than ourselves. That’s it.

I hope you’ll consider submitting a blogpost for the frontpage remembering You do have something to offer with your unique perspective and can be a blessing to many around the world.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns and I hope to hear from you soon.

Peace & Blessings,

Tommy Crenshaw
